I was a registrar when civil partnerships first became legal in 2004 and one of the first to be trained to conduct these ceremonies. I was very touched to conduct many ceremonies for people who, having lived together for years, now had the opportunity to affirm their relationship and, importantly, be accorded legal rights. They were often small, intimate ceremonies and I felt privileged to be a part of them.
I now work independently as a humanist, non-religious civil celebrant offering a range of personalised, individual ceremonies. I can offer you a well designed, creative script that matches your individual personalities and aspirations for the day that you want. You may prefer to write your own script. I will help you write your vows and personal promises and I can offer you a range of appropriate poetry and readings from my personal collection.
You can decide where to have your ceremony. In your home, your garden or a favourite place. Or you may prefer to use a local marriage venue. I have a lot of experience working with a range of first class venues; many of which are very happy to recommend me.
